What Parents Are Saying

"My 11 year old went from eating only plain pasta, cheese, and sweets to being a kid who LOVES steak and crab! He had a lot of anxiety and fear of trying new things. Within a couple months he no longer feared new foods (or even foods he knows he's not fond of). There is plenty of homework, and consistency is key, but Ms Charlene is fantastic at discovering the root of the problem, and how to work with the individual (and their parents!) to overcome obstacles when it comes to eating. Best decision we ever made for our son was to enroll him in "food school." Everyone in the family is happier and healthier. Thank you, Happy Hungry Hippos!!" - Jennifer Eller

"My son has always struggled with being a “picky” eater but with each year that went by he became more and more anxious and then resistant to trying new foods. He was highly limited at any meal. Meeting Mrs. Charlene at HHH was such a welcomed blessing. My son, in just three months, developed an open mind and greater confidence in trying new foods and opening up to other meal time options. He now tries everything I put in front of him using the techniques we learned there. He understands it’s not about “liking” every food but more about having a willingness to say “I CAN” do this or that to try new things. Cannot recommend Mrs. Charlene enough! We are so grateful for her program and the tools she gave to our family!" -Marlee Walker

"I can’t say enough wonderful things about Charlene. She helped our son get over his fear of trying new foods and most importantly helped us navigate how to handle it at home. He now eats a wide variety of foods that he never would have tried a year ago and meal time is much more enjoyable now. If you’re on the fence about Happy Hungry Hippos or even if you’re not sure your kid needs food therapy, just go for it. I finally realized that my son was not going to “grow out of it” and we haven’t regretted taking him to ‘food school’ for a second- and I have a feeling he’ll thank us when he’s older." - Katherine Meyers
